Ides Master concept will be used for handling all technical plant documentation and most of the plant information regarding district heating at Göteborg Energi.

In connection with the implementation of Master concept, the existing Ides software for electrical engineering, elMaster, will be updated and the former IDOK process applications will be converted to Ides’ proMaster.

Ides Master concept will be a central system for handling plant related information; documents and equipment information (object data). Master concept will be integrated with the maintenance system.

Thanks to the dynamic data in Master concept all personnel at Göteborg Energi; project managers, documentation engineers as well as maintenance and operations personnel, will via a thin client be able to search for data and documents regarding the facility in operation. This leads to increased safety at the facilities.

The Master concept function Task handling will be used for good traceability in the system. At the beginning of an investment project, a sub-project or task is started up.
The task handling helps the user to control what has changed during the project period. Ides’ system logs changes on all documentation and data.

In order to carry out the implementation of Ides’ Master concept, parts of the current designation standard will be adapted to the IEC standard. This will be done in Göteborg Energi’s existing maintenance system EAM.
