Master concept 24.1 – A new release with new features

The Master Concept service release is here – packed with powerful improvements and exciting new features! In November 2025, we introduced innovations designed to boost efficiency and enhance security for everyone – from occasional users to those working in the system all day, every day.

With Master Concept 24.1, we’re taking collaboration to the next level. Our Maintenance customers can now seamlessly invite external users without compromising information security. Thanks to AssetMasterXU, you get a unique, ready-to-go solution for onboarding contractors quickly and securely – complete with built-in authentication for a smooth, professional experience.

Crystal Reports

As part of our product strategy, Crystal Reports is being moved from the client to the application server layer in order to free up processing power on the client.

Report generating is now handled on the application server side in a completely new application server, DocumentJobServer, where a PDF is generated simultaneously and can be used for preview purposes.

assetMasterXU, a unique solution for external users

For our customers using Master concept maintenance (assetMaster), we now offer a new solution that allows external users—such as contractors—to be invited in for major shutdowns or smaller jobs.

assetMasterXU can manage Rounds, Work Orders, Fault Reporting, Work Requests, Risk Assessments, and also, Work Permits.

Master concept – full support for MFA across all applications

With support for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Master concept, you ensure that users logging in with so-called MFA are who they claim to be.

MasterView

– a 3D and CAD application

Master concept 24.1 features extended Viewer capabilities in the application, supporting both 3D and CAD formats. This gives everyone the ability to view both 3D models and standard CAD drawings. Below is a selection of highlights from the full feature list.

Model Coloring

You can now apply the Harmonise Coloring option, which assigns different shades of the same color to merged models in the viewer, making it easier to distinguish between them.

IFC-Spaces Drawing

New tools allow you to draw or remove IFC-Spaces:

Draw/Erase IFC-Spaces: Adds or removes all IFC-Spaces for the models in the current view.

Draw/Erase Connected IFC-Spaces: Adds or removes all connected IFC-Spaces in the view.

Object Document Relations

Object-document relationships are now visible in the Object Relations Panel. You can select an object relation in the viewer and choose to:

Access other documents in Master concept within the 3D model

Open the Object-Document relation panel within the 3D model and with a “go to” feature you can either Preview the document or “jump to” or navigate to the document.

Transparency Controls

You can now apply or remove transparency on selected objects directly in the 3D viewer

Add Transparency: Select objects and click the button to make them transparent.

Remove Transparency: Select transparent objects and click the button to restore visibility.

Sectioning

Sectioning functionality has been added, allowing you to inspect the inside models by adding planes along the X, Y, or Z axis. Features include:

Sectioning Mode: Activates sectioning tools; navigation is disabled in this mode.

Planes Visibility: Show or hide planes for an unobstructed view.

Add by X/Y/Z Axis: Insert an interactive plane along the chosen axis.

Clear Planes: Remove all planes when finished.

You can move planes by dragging the center circle, flip them with right-click, and rotate using the blue and green handles.

PDF Preview

The PDF Preview button (top-left of the Visualize panel) allows you to:

Save the current view as a PDF locally.

Print the image directly to a selected printer.

Create viewpoints directly in the model

A viewpoint is a saved 3D perspective that allows you to quickly return to the same location in the model. If desired, you can also add redline markup directly in the 3D model.
