Information object is an object that is freely available to structure information on. Information object can be a structural element or a real object that carries data.
We take a few examples:
We have created a few different business structures where we want to enter all the CVs for the staff. These are located as documents and we structure in a logical way, i.e. the business departments, which are all information objects and form a path to the documents.
Another searchway can be built with other information objects structured according to the organization’s locations and type of education, i.e. university engineers.
The documents are the same and each audit is handled and the last node that carries the document is the information object, i.e. person who contains with data such as name, home address, telephone number, photo.
The documents and the information object are included in different structures to support different searches.
Our consulting organization has helped various companies to structure their information. The customer register contains product companies that build product structures and safety regulations, but also companies that work with plant management.
